Abstract
We report lifetime measurements for two levels in Er II by the beam-foil method. Decay rates were measured for two lines from the 26 099 cm-1level, 3 830 and 3 896 Å, and one line from the 29 973 cm-1level, 3 385 Å. The results are τ = 14 ± 3 ns (3 830 Å), τ = 15 ± 3 ns (3 896 Å), and τ = 9 ± 1 ns (3 385 Å).Keywords
