Abstract
The common American hardwood staining species of Endoconidiophora previously referred to E. coerulescens Münch, a conifer fungus, is shown to be a distinct species and described as E. virescens. Another related species causing gray mold on chestnut oak tanbark is described under the name E. variospora.Keywords
