Abstract
University undergraduate students were asked to report the number of episodes of nonconsensual sex experienced during the past 30 days. Responses of 856 male and 980 female students (mean age = 20.1 years) were compared to self-reported participation in ten other sexual activities during the same time period and to concurrent self-assessments of ten personal traits. Results showed that 13.2% of respondents had engaged in sex against their own will and 6.8% against the will of a partner during the previous month. A general multiple regression analysis showed that several of the independent variables were significant predictors of having sex against one's own will and engaging in sexual activity against the will of another person. Keywords
