Abstract
The fermentation reactions of 37 strains of E. rhusiopathiae were studied. A special sugar free broth medium was developed and used. The fermentation reactions of the organisms were fairly constant. All strains produced acid but no gas in glucose, fructose, galactose and lactose. Some strains produced a slight acidity in mannose, arabi-nose and xylose. No correlation was apparent between the source of the strains and their fermentation reactions. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
