Abstract
The neutron scattering intensities about the 11/20 diffuse peak, in 15 and 40 at.% CuMn single crystals have been investigated. It is suggested that the maxima in the diffuse magnetic scattering intensity, which occurs at 1, 1+or- delta ', 0 type positions, is caused by an interaction with the conduction electrons. The wavevector of this modulation, indicating a tendency towards spiral magnetic order, is comparable to the Fermi surface diameter. Keywords
