Abstract
A silty marine ash in the West Kirkton Limestone yields a fossil community of burrowing forms consisting of Edmondia, Schizodus, worms, and loxonematid? gastropods. Most of these fossils are still in their original burrowing positions. The surface fauna is restricted to pectiniform lamellibranchs. Vertical shells of Camarotoechia are believed to have floated in and are not considered to have been part of the community. Sedimentary structures and the effects of the burrowing organisms on the sediment are described. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
