Abstract
During the past few years much attention has been called to infection by Monilia. The whole subject has been admirably summed up by Hopkins,1and the previously confusing classification has been simplified through the work of Hopkins and Benham,2Stone and Garrod3and Stovall and Bubolz.4 We report here a fatal case of moniliasis of the skin. We were unable to find a similar case in the literature. REPORT OF A CASE History.— C. B., aged 51, married, American, a grocer, was referred to us in February, 1930, by Dr. M. M. Restall of Marblehead for a generalized eruption of the skin of one year's duration. There was no history of any previous cutaneous disease or of similar cases in his family.
