Abstract
Three hundred cases of major infection of the foot in diabetic patients are analysed. Based on our experience we have been able to define certain criteria which we have found useful in the management of these cases. It is felt that an aggressive surgical approach with careful surgical technique and the appropriate antibiotics can avert major radical amputation. Keywords
