Abstract
The brain exploits multiple sensory modalities to gather, from different channels, as much information as possible about the surrounding environment. This psychophysical study revealed that the brain can integrate these different sensory cues optimally to improve its perception. However, exactly how the brain achieves this still remains largely unknown.
