Adaptive Modification of Host Selection by a Hymenopteran Parasitoid

Abstract
The frequency-independent component of selection of different foods (or hosts) by animals may be partly an adaptive response to differences in food quality. The relationship between the selective coefficients for 3 hosts presented to Nasonia in their 3 pairwise combinations, as revealed by a new statistical technique confirms this view.
