Abstract
A CW dye laser at lambda =5570 gamma has been used to depopulate the first metastable level of krypton in order to study excitation transfers between krypton and xenon levels. The separation between the direct effect of transfers and indirect effects of pumping has been made possible by the analysis of line profiles. Keywords
