Abstract
Female budworm flight activity was monitored automatically at seven constant temperatures ranging from 10° to 25°C. Flight activity was negligible below 17.5°C, but considerable oviposition occurred as low as 15°C. It is therefore possible that during cool weather the number of insects dispersing is reduced, with the result that a larger proportion of the eggs are laid in the stand of origin. This publication has 14 references indexed in Scilit:
