Abstract

Two pigments, stenocarpoquinone-A and -B, isolated from the wood of Stenocarpus salignus R.Br., are shown to be (R)-3?-hydroxy-β-lapachone (1) and 4?-hydroxy-iso-α-lapachone (2), respectively. No pigments could be obtained from the wood of Stenocarpus sinuatus Endl.
