Abstract
Kidneys were studied by light microscopy in 246 consecutive autopsies in Cairo, Egypt. Glomerulonephritis was not related to the presence or intensity of either S. haematobium or S. mansoni infection, and mesangial thickening and proliferation were also unrelated to schistosome infection. Acute and chronic pyelonephritis were also unrelated to the presence of schistosome infection. Keywords
