Studies on Vascular Permeability in the Skin

Abstract
Fractions obtained from potassium chloride extracts of acetone powders of rat skin contained a heat stable, non-dialyzable factor which upon intradermal injection increased the vascular permeability in rats and guinea-pigs. Its vasoactivity was antagonized by antihistamine. The permeability increasing factor did not contract the guinea-pig ileum.
