Abstract
The multiplet structure of 2p and 3p photoelectron spectra from samples containing 3d6 transition-metal ions in the low-spin and high-spin configurations has been calculated in a strong-field scheme. The 2p results are compared with experimental data for cobalt (III) oxides LaCoO3, SrLaCoO4 and La2Li0.5Co0.5O4.Keywords
