Abstract
Fourteen patients with sarcoidosis were subjected to intradermal injections of tuberculin, Kveim and lepromin antigen. Lepromin antigen produced a regular, positive, sarcoid reaction. It is postulated that the Kveim reaction represents only a response to the human tissue component and it is possible that sarcoidosis and the sarcoid reaction is an idiosyncratic group reaction.
