Abstract
A simple formula for the rate of ionization of molecular excitons as a result of their mutual interaction in aromatic crystals is derived. It is shown that, under certain assumptions, the rate of ionization for vibronic as well as electronic excitons can be evaluated from the transition moments of electronic transitions of molecules and the geometric parameters of the crystal. Keywords
