Abstract
The positron-impact excitation cross section for the n=2 level of helium has been calculated in the energy range 20–200 eV. A distorted wave obtained by solving an adiabatic equation has been used in the initial channel. The results are compared with the other existing theoretical predictions and measured values. Keywords
