Abstract
Using Cr51 as the tracer, chromic chloride was administered intraven. to rats and rabbits. At the end of 24 hrs. up to 40% of the radioactivity was excreted in the urine. The greatest concn. of Cr51 per g. of tissue occurred in the bone marrow. Other sites of deposition were the spleen, liver, kidney and compact bone. Although the distribution of radioactivity in these animals is similar to that of a small size slow clearing colloid, the Cr51 in the sites of localization appeared to be bound to protein.Keywords
