Detailed descriptions are given of several sections ranging in age from Bathonian to Oxfordian (middle and upper Jurassic) in the Chatillon-sur-Seine region (southeastern Paris basin, France). Each zone is well defined by fossils, especially ammonites. The facies variations and breaks in sedimentation are summarized.
