Abstract
Haemolymph from larvae of Cuterebra, Cephenemyia, Oestrus, and Gastero-philus inhibits the growth of several species of Sarcina and Micrococcus on nutrient media. The bacteriostatic substance in the haemolymph is thermostable and retains its bacteriostatic activity after it is diluted.
