Abstract
The annihilation decay rates of positrons in He, Ne, Ar has been calculated as a function of temperature. This is done by solving the Boltzmann diffusion equation by an iterative procedure. The annihilation decay rate decreases with the increase of temperature. In the case of He and Ne, this dependence is weak, but in Ar, there are appreciable variations. A comparison is made between the theoretical and experimental results and the agreement is reasonable. Keywords
