Abstract
The influence of impurity radiation on plasma edge turbulence has been studied in the TEXT tokamak. With nitrogen puffing, an increase in the floating potential fluctuations and in the particle transport induced by the fluctuations is observed, while density fluctuations remain essentially unchanged. No enhancement in either the fluctuation levels or the transport has been observed in the edge with carbon (methane) puffing. The results are discussed in the framework of the resistive model with radiative drive (THAYER, D.R., DIAMOND, P.D., Phys. Fluids 12 (1987) 977).Keywords
