Abstract
A system for measuring low‐frequency noise spectra of thermal detectors is described. Its features also make it useful for other noise measuring applications. Low equivalent input noise is realized by incorporating an RCA 6CW4 Nuvistor in the system preamplifier. A constant bandpass of 0.3 cps is maintained over the entire tuning range of 1 to 50 cps by utilizing a heterodyne‐type spectrum analyzer modified for this application. A typical thermistor bolometer noise spectrum is given. Keywords
