Abstract
To the Editor: In neuronal ceroid lipofuscinosis with curvilinear bodies, the systemic nature of the disease is well documented, and diagnosis of the disease by electron microscopy of muscle, nerve and skin biopsies and appendectomy has been accomplished.1 2 3 4 Curvilinear bodies have been described in ductules of eccrine glands and in lymphocytes.5 An observation by Dolman6 of curvilinear bodies in renal tubules and our own observation of their abundant accumulation in proximal renal tubular epithelium7 led us to examine urinary sediment in the search for curvilinear bodies in three patients with this disease (Supported by grants [NS 03356, NS 5275 and . . .Keywords
