Abstract
Summary: Planktonic organisms found in the Upper Kimeridge Clay of England are described. This plankton comprises dinoflagellates, hystrichospheres, coccolithophores and bodies of uncertain affinity. Coccolithophores and dinoflagellates alternate as the dominest members ; the abundance of the former varies considerably. The mode of occurrence is described and the stratigraphic value discussed. Keywords
