Abstract
Synopsis: On South Uist, in the Outer Hebrides, the Lewisian gneisses are of two distinct types. Glacial erratics from these indicate that during the latest glaciation ice moved from W to E, contrary to evidence of glacial movement o n the Scottish mainland.Keywords
