Abstract
The viscosity of H2S, SO2 and NH3 has been measured by the oscillating disc method up to 200°C and below 10 cm Hg pressure. Attempts have been made to obtain information on the intermolecular potentials of these gases. The results suggest that it may be a better approximation for polar-polar interactions to assume an effective relative orientation of the two interacting dipoles than equal probability for all the relative orientations. Keywords
