Abstract
Effects of differenfdoses of streptomycin admd. to tuberculous guinea pigs were studied. In the 1st expt., using 6 varying daily doses, 2 mg./day was ineffective, while 4 mg. exerted a decidedly beneficial effect. In the 2d expt., using 2 and 6 mg. daily doses only, there was a marked difference in the results with the 2 doses. The smaller dose represents the "subeffective" dose, useful for measuring the combined effect of other drugs in exptl. therapy. Keywords
