Abstract
Previously a procedure was given for carrying out numerically an iteration method to get approximate solutions for wave functions in momentum space and for eigenvalues. This procedure is applied to the ground state of the deuteron in nonrelativistic approximation, using central potentials only. Tables illustrating the rapidity of convergence of the iterations are given. Values for the momentum space wave functions corresponding to different potential shapes are tabulated, and simple analytic approximations are given. Keywords
