Abstract

7.alpha.-Methoxy-7.beta.-vinylacetamidocephalosporins were synthesized from 7.beta.-(.omega.-halocrotonyl)aminocephalosporins using phosphorus pentachloride and lithium methoxide by a 1,6-elimination reaction.
