Abstract
The paper considers some of the problems involved in the interpretation of partici pants' evaluations of management development programmes. In particular it argues that in the case of participative "open evaluation" sessions, it is important to recognise that participants' attitudes and feelings towards the learning group may influence the evaluation process and its outcomes. The paper concludes by identify ing the range of interventions the tutor may take once such attitudes or feelings are revealed. Keywords
