Experimental evidence of the existence of states of HN2O+with different reactivities

Abstract
Reactions of HN2O+ have been investigated in flow tubes at room temperature. For the reactions of HN2O+ with both CH4and NO the observations may be described accurately in terms of two components of the reactant ions distinguishable by different reactivities. The ratio of the two components is approximately 5:1. The HN2O+ ions were produced from the reaction of N2O+(X2 Pi ) with H2.
