Abstract
The finding of numerous echinostome-type cercariae in fresh-water snails and the damage these cercariae do to their snail hosts led to the following suggestion: "Strict preservation of waterfowl and the substitution of domestic ducks (purpose-fed with echinostomatid cysts if necessary) for the water birds displaced or destroyed through human activity is worthy of trial as an economical supplement to other measures for controlling Bllharzia".Keywords
