Abstract
This note describes an alternative to Tung's algorithm for signed-digit division. This algorithm, while retaining all the features of Tung's algorithm, is more efficient, since the range or interval to which the divisor is to be pre-transformed expands with increasing redundancy rather than contracting as in Tung's algorithm.Keywords
