Abstract
Expressions incorporating the correct phase factors are derived for the Born II scattering amplitude for ionization. The limiting behaviour of this with small momentum transfer is considered, and an expression for the high energy behaviour of the cross section, analogous to the Bethe approximation is obtained. Keywords
