Abstract
The Spheres of Control (SOC) scale is judged to be culturally appropriate for Filipino subjects. However, an investigation with 198 freshmen Psychology students of a major Filipino university, indicated that the current SOC scale may not be adequate for use with such subjects. In particular, doubt was cast over the internal consistency of the scales and the underlying factor structure. Keywords
