Abstract
This paper outlines the design and implementation of a text editor which is designed for use on an alphanumeric display terminal with cursor control. Text may be edited directly on the screen by deleting, overstriking or inserting characters. There also exist commands to manipulate and search sections of text. A major design consideration was that the editor should be easily usable by untrained casual users. Keywords
