Kindler's Syndrome

Abstract
In 1954, Kindler described a 14-year-old girl who had cutaneous manifestations of both epidermolysis bullosa and poikiloderma congenitale associated with an extreme photosensitivity.1 A recent review of the literature does not reveal another case report of this precise association of manifestations. Report of a Case A 50-year-old man was noted to have wrinkled skin, particularly of the hands, elbows, and face, at birth. During infancy and childhood, extreme photosensitivity and blistering with slight trauma were noted. A decreased urinary stream became manifest at the age of 12 years. The patient was inducted into the armed services at the age of 18 years but was ultimately discharged because of severe blistering of the feet while marching. At discharge, he was noted to have wrinkled skin, blisters on the dorsal hands and buccal and labial mucosa, dystrophic teeth and fingernails, and soft, easily bleeding gums. At the age of 24 years,
