Abstract
Radio-active tubercle bacilli were produced by cultivation in media containing radio-active P. Most of the paper deals with correlation of photelometer estimates of wts. of tubercle and other mycobacteria in suspension with direct measurements of dry wts., with the result that the photelometer readings were found to be highly reliable. A method is given for determining quantities of bacilli present by determining radio-activity of bacilli obtained by filtration of the medium, taking the activity of the filtrate into consideration Apparently, however, data obtained by this method are not given, and the 3 tables and 4 figures are dependent upon turbidity readings by 3 methods compared with direct det. of wet and dry wts. of bacilli in the suspension. Keywords
