Abstract
Cultures were made of 23 tissues, mainly lymph nodes of 100 commercially slaughtered Bang''s reactor cattle. B. abortus was isolated from one or more locations in 42 of the animals. In 10 there were numerous recoveries from many locations. Although the uterus and supra-mammary lymph nodes were most regularly involved, infection was found in widely scattered areas of the carcass. The potential exposure hazard encountered by packing-house workers is discussed. Keywords
