Abstract
Two adolescents who developed severe extrapyramidal and hypothalamic reactions due to haloperidol therapy are described. This is a rarely reported result of utilizing this medication in children and youth, and caution is urged in its use. Prolonged reactions have occurred. Haloperidol is a butyrophenone used in psychoses and Gilles de la Tourette syndrome.
