Abstract
MOST RESEARCH ON entry into an organization views the process from the organizational perspective. The process can also be viewed from the perspective of the individual. This paper examines factors which impact on organizational entry of the Clinical Nurse Specialist. Theories from the literature in organizational behavior are combined with pertinent nursing literature to develop and explain organizational socialization, group development, and role making/taking. Recommendations to ease the entry process are proposed. © Williams & Wilkins 1991. All Rights Reserved. Keywords
