Abstract
Twenty-six species of Textulariina (agglutinated foraminifera) are recorded and illustrated from Recent sediments from Wellington Harbour. Reophax cylindricus and Rotaliammina sigmoidea are described as new and Reophax catenata, R. scottii, R. subfusiformis emend. Hoglund, Trochammina multiloculata, and Rotaliammina cf. mayori are recorded living for the first time from New Zealand. Most living textulariines occur in silty pelites in the central habour basin in an association dominated by Reophasx spp. A textulariine association dominated by Siphotextularia spp. in the sandy, current-influenced harbour entrance zone appears to be mostly allochthonous.
