Abstract
Oxidized glutathione may be estimated as reduced glutathione by the sulfur reduction method after enzymic reduction with tri-phosphopyridine nucleotide and glutathione reductase. Reduced glutathione may be estimated in the presence of cysteine by first oxidizing reduced glutathione compounds enzymically by a lipoxidase system, followed by enzymic reduction of oxidized glutathione. The method was used with potato tissue and satisfactory recoveries of both reduced and oxidized glutathione obtained. Keywords
