Abstract
Adults of Pissodes strobi were tagged externally with Sc46 Cl3 using the method of Davis and Nagel. Sixteen hundred weevils were treated in Sept. and their movements followed until hibernation. Individual weevils could be detected at 4-5 feet with a portable scintillation counter. The movements of the weevils were followed again in April and May. Diagrams of the dispersion pattern are presented. The weevils were found to fly well and frequently with flight up to 724 feet from the point of release. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
