Abstract
A reactive intermediate, probably an enediolate species, has been oxidatively trapped by reaction with added flavin during catalytic turnover by yeast glyoxalase I of the thiohemiacetal from glutathione and phenylglyoxal under anaerobic conditions.Keywords
