Reduction of Chromate to CrIII in Connection with Patch Testing

Abstract
A considerable proportion of potassium dichromate in the test patch of cellulose or linen material is reduced to CrIII during the 1st few hr., e.g. ca. 50% in 2 hr. Investigations to show the suitability of non-reducing glass fiber paper for patch testing are in progress.
