Abstract
SUMMARY: The microfossil Renalcis is described from the Carboniferous Limestone of Britain for the first time. Specimens occur unattached in fine-grained sediments between the framework organisms of small reefs of Arundian age in the Furness area of Cumbria. Although fairly numerous, Renalcis did not play an essential role in the construction of the reefs. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
